You’re doing such a great job with this key bass part.  Try to memorize your hand position so we wont need to put stickers on next time.  Remember to hold each note for a full 4 beats.

Slow it Down:

You are doing great on this key bass part!  Remember the unique section is double on the first verse only.  Don’t freak out on that part. You’ve got it!

We would love it if you sang the backing vocals for this song.  Listen to the original record right at the 2 minute mark and you’ll hear voices singing “Slow It Down”.  I look forward to really getting that down next week.

Here is your drum part.  I’d like you to focus on a super solid Kick/Snare.  Once you have mastered that playing it with the recording, you are welcome to add the hi-hat but that is not essential.

We say Ava in the video but this part is actually for you! There are only 2 chords in this song.  The trick is to wait a full 4 measures before switching.  I’d like you to start trusting your musical ear to ‘hear’ the change rather than count it.
