Music Production Camp

June 15th-19th

Best for students ages 12-16, this program offers the ins and outs of producing DIY recordings at a wide variety of levels. We will be exploring the many facets of music production including:

  • Getting around your digital audio workstation (DAW)
  • Music composition and arranging
  • Recording techniques for vocals and other acoustic instruments
  • Recording techniques for electronic instruments
  • Live Recording
  • Sampling
  • Publishing and promoting your music
  • Light mixing and more!

We teach in all widely used Daws (Digital Audio Workstations) such as Pro Tools, Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Garage Band and others.

Required Materials: A well-functioning laptop, installed DAW of your choice and headphones

Opitional Materials: Controllers, interface and musical instruments

Session Dates: June 15 – 19

Hours: 10:00am-3:00pm

Tuition: $695 per session

Songwriting and Production

June 13th-17th

We are looking forward to this summer’s Songwriting and Production Intensive! Songwriters, ages 12-adult, will get the opportunity to develop their skills while also learning the  learn the ins and outs of producing DIY recordings.  This class will cover the following:

  • Melodic writing
  • Lyric writing
  • Harmonization
  • Chart writing
  • Music notation
  • Getting around your digital audio workstation (DAW)
  • Recording vocals and other acoustic instruments
  • Publishing and promoting your music

There will be a presentation/performance for family and friends on Friday, July 17 at 5pm.

Music Production Intensive

August 10th-14th

This program is best for college students and students who are serious about pursuing music production as a lifelong endeavor. We offer the ins and outs of producing recordings at a variety of different levels. We will be exploring the many facets of music production including:

  • Getting around your digital audio workstation (DAW)
  • Discovering and manipulating sounds
  • Music composition and arranging
  • Recording techniques for vocals and other acoustic instruments
  • Recording techniques for electronic instruments
  • Mixing and light mastering.
We will be setting up workstations within our facility, and students will be grouped according to their level and interests which include:
  • Production for Singers, Songwriters and Instrumentalists: We don’t know a single professional songwriter who isn’t also a music producer, and every songwriter knows that their skill in the studio has a huge impact on their compositions. Participants who choose this option we will spend more time working with acoustic instruments, and their focus will be on getting great basic tracks, arranging and mixing their songs.
  • Computer Music Producer: If you are a DJ, EDM artist or someone who composes all your music with your computer, then this is definitely the track for you! We will help you dig deeper into your DAW, and we will focus on electronic instruments, sounds, loops, editing and more! We recommend Ableton or FL Studio for this option.

Out of Town Participants

(Ages 12 and up)

If you live out of town and seek housing, you may be interested in our host family program. We have a short list of trusted families who look forward to hosting our summer program participants. Host families provide a private room (or shared room with another approved participant), housing, breakfast and dinner. The nightly fee is $200/night. All families and participants will meet over zoom before the arrangement is approved. Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page if you are interested in placement with a host family.
