James Kee studied contra bass performance under David Black at Chapman University in Orange County. He has been teaching string bass, guitar and ukulele for over 15 years. Mr. Kee also continues an active professional career performing and recording with Grammy award winners including Adrian Young, Alan Abraham and Cameron Webb. Former students have flourished in the music industry and been assigned to major record labels. James Kee is deeply passionate about teaching and absolutely loves working with young musicians. One of his biggest thrills in life is witnessing that moment when his students discover the incredible joy of making music for the first time. James Kee is an incredibly enthusiastic, encouraging and inspiring teacher, and his students adore learning from him.
