Emily Koo

Ms. Emily Koo received her Artist Diploma from Boston University and a Master of Music degree from New England Conservatory of Music.
As an adjunct faculty at numerous colleges and universities, Ms. Koo has gained valuable experience in teaching cello, chamber music, and orchestra repertoire to college level students in both private and classroom setting. She taught chamber music, sectional cello parts, orchestral repertoire classes, cello ensembles, and she’s conducted countless school orchestras.
Emily has extensive teaching experience in high school settings. She has also enjoyed performing and teaching in community programs where she demonstrate string instruments and introduced cello to people who have never touched a music instrument in their lives.
Ms. Koo’s orchestral experience includes Tangelwood Music Festival, a principal at Pacific Music Festival, and a member at KBS National Symphony Orchestra. She also performed with world-renowned conductors such as Christoph Essenbach, Simon Rattle, Michael Tilson Thomas, and Dimitri Kitaenko. She has a variety of performing experiences as a soloist and chamber musician internationally; USA, Czech, Luxemburg, France, Japan, and Korea.
