Music & Outdoor Recreation Camp

Each day, campers take a supervised mid-day trip to either the park or the beach, where they enjoy lunch, games, and time to relax and recharge with friends. Camp runs from 9:30 a.m. –3:30 p.m. daily and offers the ideal balance of inspiring music development and active outdoor fun.

Each week campers get to choose the songs their groups will perform, and bands typically learn an impressive 3–5 songs during a single session. This interactive music camp keeps students actively engaged throughout the week!

All experience levels are welcome, and no prior musical experience is required. Camp families are always amazed by how much growth takes place over the course of the week. Students often leave camp with new found confidence, stronger musical skills, lasting friendships, and a genuine excitement for performing.

This camp is also a fantastic introduction to Coast Music’s Youth Band Program, and many campers go on to join one of Coast Music’s year-round bands after experiencing the joy of rocking out with their peers!

The week culminates in an exciting and always memorable performance for friends and family, where campers showcase everything they’ve learned throughout the week! Weekly performances take place at Coast Music on Fridays at 3:00 p.m.

Throughout the week, campersparticipate in a variety of fun, hands-on activities including:

• Small Group Instrument-Specific Instruction (vocal, guitar/bass, drums, keys, etc.)

• Sectional and Full Band Rehearsals

• Performance and Stage Presence Workshops

• Music Crafts and Daily Music-Themed Games where students have the chance to earn prizes throughout the week — one of our campers’ favorite parts of camp!

• Daily Trips the the Beach or Park for outdoor recreation and lunch
