Music Lessons Tailored for Every Level

Yes. We offer both private music lessons for all ages and group instruction, including ensembles and bands. Students can choose one-on-one lessons for focused skill development or group programs to build collaboration and performance experience.

We offer private lessons for a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, voice, songwriting, music theory, music production, violin, viola, cello, double bass, sax, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone and more! Classes include pop, rock and jazz bands, chamber music, choir, a cappella, music theory and instrument-specific study.

Coast Music is fully accredited by WASC, and classes may be taken to satisfy your school's arts and elective requirements.

Coast Music teachers set their own private teaching rates which vary greatly from teacher to teacher. 95% of our students are on recurring, weekly schedules. Single lessons can only be booked within the week of the lesson date and are usually $10 more per lesson.

Private lessons range in price from $50/30-min to $250/hour. The most common private recurring teaching rates are $60/30-min, $80/45-min and $100/hour.

Our instructors excel at teaching beginners of all ages. They start with fundamentals and build confidence from the first lesson. No prior experience is necessary to start learning music.
