Ethan Furman is a jazz drummer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader based in Los Angeles, California. Ethan has performed internationally with jazz luminaries such as Ben Wendel, Lionel Loueke, Bob Mintzer, Sullivan Fortner, Melissa Aldana, Norma Winstone, Russell Ferrante, and more. He’s been recognized by Downbeat Magazine and YoungArts.

Ethan has a dual degree BA in Jazz Studies and Economics from the University of Southern California, where he studied with Will Kennedy, Peter Erskine and Aaron Serfaty. He is the bandleader for Sunny Side Jazz Group, a top rated band for weddings and private events, and performs regularly around the greater Los Angeles area. In addition to his studies at USC, he has been a part of prestigious programs such as Betty Carter Jazz Ahead, Gutenberg Jazz Collective, and JAS Academy.

Ethan has over 10 years of experience teaching private lessons and loves to bring out the creative spark in every music student he works with!
