Music Production Camp
Coast Music’s Music Production Camps provide an immersive summer experience for students ages 12 and up. Participants explore all aspects of modern music creation, including recording, digital audio workstation (DAW) skills, arranging, and mixing, guided by expert instructors.
At Coast Music, we provide two camps: Music Production Camp and Music Production Intensive. Programs are designed for both youth and adult students, giving everyone the opportunity to learn, create, and perform in a supportive, inspiring community.


Required Materials: A well-functioning laptop, installed DAW of your choice and headphones
Opitional Materials: Controllers, interface and musical instruments

Music Production Camp
This program covers everything you need to produce high-quality DIY recordings, from beginner to advanced levels. Students learn across all major Digital Audio Workstations, including Pro Tools, Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, GarageBand, and more.
This camp includes:
Getting around your digital audio workstation (DAW)
Music composition and arranging
Recording techniques for vocals, other acoustic instruments and electronic instruments
Live recording, sampling and light mixing
Publishing and promoting your music

Music Production Intensive
This program is designed for college students and anyone serious about pursuing music production. Over five days, participants explore all aspects of modern music creation, including navigating your DAW, sound design, composing and arranging, recording techniques for vocals, acoustic and electronic instruments, as well as mixing and light mastering.
This involves:
Navigating your digital audio workstation (DAW)
Creating and shaping unique sounds
Composing and arranging music
Recording vocals and instruments
Mixing and basic mastering techniques
Students are grouped by skill level and interests:
Production for Singers, Songwriters & Instrumentalists: Focus on recording, arranging, and mixing acoustic tracks to enhance compositions.
Computer Music Producer: Dive deeper into DAWs, electronic instruments, loops, and editing—ideal for DJs, EDM artists, and digital composers (Ableton or FL Studio recommended).

Out-of-Town Students Interested in Our Camps?

Out-of-town students may apply for our host family program. Trusted local families provide housing, breakfast, and dinner, with private or shared rooms available.
The rate is $200 per night, and all placements are approved after a Zoom meeting. Fill out the form to request host family placement.
