Ji Hoon Kang

Jihoon Kang is a multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. He had the privilege of studying under the likes of Benny Green, Robert Hurst, and Donald Sinta, as he was focusing on Classical and Jazz music. He received his BFA in Jazz Studies from  the University of Michigan.

After college, he mainly focused on exploring music production and runs a music label called One Spoke, music that fuses electronic production and jazz music. He also has experience working with many Detroit based producers such as Meftah and Danny Brown.

Jihoon’s main aim for students is to continually search for, and discover the fine line between freedom and structure in their music practice.
