Ben Hara

Ben Hara took his first guitar lesson at the age of 10 and immediately told his mom that it was the most fun he’s ever had. With this new discovery, he spent the next 8 years immersed in a wide variety of musical activities. He played guitar in numerous groups including Coast Music bands, Young Musician’s Performance Academy and the El Camino College Big Band.

After High School, Ben attended college at UCLA where he studied jazz guitar, music production and more.  He received his degree in Ethnomusicology with a Jazz Guitar concentration in 2021. He currently works as a guitarist, music instructor, music director and music producer.

Ben is happy to be  back at Coast Music as part of our teaching staff. He loves seeing his students unlock new skills and discovering what they are capable of.
