For “since you been gone” all the parts will be reasonably easy for you to play – the thing that is SUPER tough is where in the measure the changes happen.  This is definitely a song you want to practice along to the track.  Even listening to this song will help those changes feel more intuitive

I would strongly suggest playing your E power chord with your middle finger instead of your index so that you’ll be in great position to switch back and forth from the F power chord!

For “since you been gone”  The two mid-measure moves are in different parts of the measure which is super hard to get down.  going to the 5th fret is one beat 3, and going to the first fret is the and of 2. AHHHH that’s hard to get to feel natural.  When trying to get it down, really try to practice counting it when you play.

You are SO crucial in “Since You Been Gone”  In offering a huge dynamic range in the song.  When listening, please pay extra attention to hard hard the attack is between verse and chorus.  Also pay careful attention to when the drums drop out for a bit then back in super hard.

For “Since you Been Gone”  The song only works if you sing it with the resolve and attitude the lyrics demand.  “You had your chance you blew it- out of sight out of mind”  How powerfully are the lyrics trying to communicate these ideas?  Really try to adopt the character of the song when performing it

“Since U Been Gone” Is a song i often discourage bands from picking because the changes feel so unnatural. I am supremely confident  you guys can absolutely nail it, but you’ll need to get familiar with where the chords change.   Playing along with the track, and just listening to the song will help profoundly.  Another thing to pay attn to is the note length, listen to the bum bum bum of marti’s performance in the video, and try to match that length.
