Band Materials

Gracie

The choruses very much lend themselves to the root 5 octave licks. Whats good about playing around with that, is it can really open up the energy of the song and give great forward momentum

Jake

For Separate ways, so much of the emotional release of the final chorus comes from you "sailing" over it.  Think more in terms or powerful emotion, than shred for that last chorus.

Julia

On Separate Ways, pay special attention to the melodic diversions on the last chorus. "I still love you" part and the "And if he ever hurts you" part

Owen

For Separate Ways, on any fills you do, practice landing on the down beat - just about any fill plays as long as we stick the landing.  Listen to the super cool triplet hits at the end of the last chorus going into the Wooaaaaaaaahs.

River

For Separate ways, try to work at keeping the eight note pattern SUPER even.  It is super easy to start giving the notes separation- where they start to feel "clunky"
