Pioneering Females of the Guitar
Saturday, August 27th at 5:30 pm at the Palos Verdes Art Center
Come celebrate the groundbreaking women of the guitar with our own Molly Miller in concert presenting “Pioneering Females of the Guitar”, at the Palos Verdes Art Center on Saturday, August 27th at 5:30pm.
The show features the music of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Memphis Minnie, and Mother Maybelle Carter with Molly Miller backed by an amazing band. If you love gospel, blues, country or rock & roll, this is a show you don’t want to miss!
Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Memphis Minnie, and Mother Maybelle Carter changed the way that the guitar was played and transformed American music in the process. Although we hear their influence every time we turn on the radio, somehow their music and stories have been glossed over. It’s time to tell their story. Bring your friends and family!
Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for members, $10 for children 14 and younger.
To purchase tickets, stop by the front desk at PVAC or call Miguel at 310.541.2479.
