Two rehearsals left before the performance! Come in fully prepared with Shivers and Dandelions, and review your verse and chorus parts for Story. That means practicing the other two songs along with the recordings (use the version here for Shivers in the correct key).

Hey Hadley! All your Story parts are up, but only practice the ones we went over in class (unless you want to go above and beyond)! That’s verse and chorus for this week, and next week we will add prechorus and bridge, though I (Pablo) won’t be there.

Hey Lauren! Sounding great on the vocals already, and thank you for being on top of your keyboard parts. Take it slow with the clapping and the Shivers harmony, it’ll take time. Once you’re super confident with the singing, try slowly adding some of the clapping.

Dandelions Hadley:Lauren

Hey Sierra! Nice job this week. Remember for Shivers the roadmap is – on verses and prechoruses, normal groove with kick every other measure. Then on choruses one and two, you will start with the cross stick groove without kick. You’ll also do this on the second half of the bridge. Finally on the second half of choruses one and two, as well as final chorus, you’ll do the full groove with kick on one and “and” of 3. Don’t forget the break going into the final chorus! For Dandelion what you’re learning in class is great, just mellow out the verses by using cross stick and less kicks.
